The competition took place at Hoa Vien (Gia Ray town, Xuan Loc district) with nearly 1,000 athletes from various units: armed forces, schools, Women’s Union, People’s Committees of local communes in Long Khanh city, and the districts of Nhon Trach, Thong Nhat, Cam My, Xuan Loc, and 6 provinces in the Southeast region cluster.
The athletes competed in six events with two distances, divided into three systems: district-level movement system, provincial-level selection system, and expanded selection system. For male events, the distance was 7km (including 5km of wilderness and 2km of mountain climbing); for female events, the distance was 5km (3km of wilderness and 2km of mountain climbing). Among them, Binh Thuan competed in the expanded system of provinces in the Southeast region cluster and excellently won first place in the whole delegation, followed by the host unit Dong Nai in second place, and Binh Phuoc in third place.
