Export revenue suffered reduction due to Covid-19

BTO- Due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic, the export turnover of Binh Thuan province realized USD22.8 milllion in April, falling by 42.61% and 36.52% compared with those of March and the same period last year.

Over the past 4 months of the year, exports of goods gained about USD 128.61 million, falling nearly 4% against the same period of 2019. In particular, group of marine products performed a total export value of USD 37.5 million (down 4.44%) while group of agricultural products earned an estimated export revenue of USD2.84 million (a reduction of 21.79%). Group of other products realized USD 88.3 million (down 2.98%).

Amid the Covid-19 outbreak, exportation to a number of traditional markets, such as:China, Japan, South Korea… has faced a lot of difficulties due to lack of laborers and prolonged custom clearance procedures.
