387 tourism projects with nearly VND 70 trillion operates in Binh Thuan

BTO – To date, a total of 387 tourism projects, covering a total area of 6,249 hectares with a total investment of VND 69,845 billion, are operating in Binh Thuan province. Of the total, 22 projects are foreign-owned ones, with total allocated areas of 1,636 hectares with investment capital totaling VND 11,231 billion.

Other 365 domestic projects have a total investment registration of VND 58,614 billion on a total allocated area of 4,612 hectares. Of these, 188 projects have been put into operation.

The whole province has 577 tourist accommodations with 16,106 rooms, ranging from 1 to 5 stars. Besides, there are some 557 apartments and 315 villas.

Currently, the number of tourist employees hits around 26,000. In the face of Covid-19 epidemic, only 30 to 50 percent of total tourist employees get stable jobs.
