Binh Thuan lifted two lockdown streets after three quarantined weeks

BTO – The lockdown placed on Ngo Si Lien and Hoang Van Thu routes (Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province) were officially lifted at 0:00 hours on April 3rd after 21 days of quarantine in prevention of Covid-19 outbreak.

The two-lockdown streets were placed from March 13 after nine Covid-19 cases were reported in Binh Thuan province. The two streets are residing addresses of 4 covid-19 patients, including patients No.38, 40, 42, and 43. The lockdown aimed to effectively restrict all incoming or outgoing travel from the two places.

The announcement was made by the provincial authorities late April 3rd after all 21 households with 73 residents inside the lockdown areas showed negative results with Sars-CoV-2 testing during quarantine period. Each resident is supported VN 50,000 per day.

On the same day, Director of Binh Thuan general hospital Nguyen Van Thanh, said that 7 out of 9 Covid-19 patients are given all-clear and discharged from the hospital on April 3rd.  Those patients, who had negative results for three times with Sars-CoV-2, shall be sent to Binh Thuan Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation for 14-day quarantine as prescribed.
