PM agrees to support 1,500 tons of rice seeds for Binh Thuan

BTO – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued Decision No.564/QD-TTg on granting rice seeds from the national storage to 2 provinces of Binh Thuan and Nin Thuan province on April 24th.

Accordingly, the Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to disburse 1,950 tons of rice seeds, 58 tons of maize seeds and 8 tons of vegetable seeds in support of the two aforesaid provinces. The free-of-charge seeds will be sent to the two most drought-affected provinces during the 2019-2020 Spring-Winter crops.
Under the Decision, Binh Thuan province is entitled to 1,500 tons of rice seeds and 12 tons of maize seeds while Ninh Thuan will get a backing of 450 tons of rice seeds, 46 tons of maize seeds and 8 tons of vegetable seeds.
