The event is co-held by the Association for the Protection of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Children in Binh Thuan Province recently coordinated with the "Tokyo Smile Fund" from Japan and Dalhousie University from Canada.
Accordingly, the volunteer medical team has examined and screened 51 cases, performing surgery on 25 cases involving cleft lips, cleft palates, keloids, and atrophic scars on the patients' faces at Binh Thuan General Hospital.
The doctors are currently diagnosing and examining patients.
Among them, La Gi Town had 7 cases operated on, Phu Quy had 5 cases, Ham Thuan Bac had 4 cases, Bac Binh had 3 cases, Ham Thuan Nam had 2 cases, and Phan Thiet City had 1 case. It is known that most of the surgical cases are poor children with very difficult circumstances. The program is truly meaningful for underprivileged children, bringing complete smiles to them to help them pursue a better future.
