Therefore, Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Le Tuan Phong has imposed the highest social distancing measures to the city from 0.00 on August 2nd within 14 days. To make the implementation of Directive 16 more effective, a number of mobile patrols, checkpoints have been formed to control the disease. Besides, the Municipal authorities has ranked up propaganda to avoid people from panic and join the government’s fights against Covid-19. A quick statistic of residential households in the city has been reviewed to build a shopping schedule to cope with the specific times, places, and frequency.

Q: During 14 days of social distancing in accordance with Directive No.16, how would the authorities consider securing foodstuff for the local residents?
A: Traditional markets in Phan Thiet City are still operating but they will be re-arranged to minimize the risk of spreading the outbreak. The commodity sources are ensured during the social distancing time with price stability. At the same time, supermarkets of Coop Mart, Lotte Mart, Vinmart stores, Bach Hoa Xanh, etc will increase their stocks to serve the people.
Moreover, Phan Thiet City encourages people to use online goods distribution channels to limit gatherings, fostering Covid-19 prevention and control. Mobile sales of goods are also deployed to meet the people’s needs.
Q: Do you have any suggestions and warnings to Phan Thiet people as the lockdown measure comes into effect?
A: Currently, the Covid-10 situation is continuously fierce. With the spirit of putting the people’s health and life to above all else, the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet City warns all residents to stay at home, and only going outside for essential needs such as food shopping, obtaining medicine, or urgent medical services.
We also calls upon the whole people to voluntarily obey with the regulations and measures on Covid-19 prevention and control. For leaders of enterprises of essential goods, they take responsibility to implement epidemic preventive measures to protect the workers’ health.
In addition, the City authorities request the whole political system, all classes of people in the city, especially civil servants and employees to strictly observe the measures.
